FUNERAL

MU ALFRED E, BAXTER

The funeral of Mr Alfred 32. Baxter, the well-known water colour artist, took place from his home in Sumner yesterday morning. The services at the house and at Bromley cemeterey, were conducted by the. Rev. A. o)t*£Ltl|£G The chief mourners were Messrs A. Baxter (son), W. Baxter, and *T. Baxter (brothers). Messrs R. Beveridge, R. Clarke, A. Holmes. P. White-Par-sons, G. Donaldson, and R. Busch were the pall-bearers. More than 100 wreaths were received. The funeral was followed by a large number of representatives of business firms, musical, and art societies.
