NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER. ■\TOTICE is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Christchurch Tramway Board held on the 25th day of May, 1936, the following resolution was passed and that it wiJ be submitted for confirmation at an ordinary meeting of the Board to be held on Monday, 22nd day of June, 1936, at 1 p.m., at the office of the Board, Cathedral square, Christchurch. RESOLUTION .RE GENERAL RATE. In pursuance and exercise of 'the powers vested in the Christchurch Tramway Board in that behalf by Sections 40 and 44 of the Christchurch Tramway District Act, 1920, and all other powers it enabling, and in suance of a resolution passed by the Board on the 11th day of May, 1936, and the Public Notice published in the Christchurch “Star-Sun” newspaper on the 11th day of May 1936, and in the “Christchurch Press” on the 12th day of May 1936, the Christchurch Tramway Board hereby resolves by way of Special Order:— (a) That the Christchurch Tramway Board hereby makes a general rate of decimal one four eight one pence U4Bld) in the £ upon the Capital Value of all rateable property in the Christchurch Tramway District, aa defined by the Christchurch Tramway District Act, 1920, as amended by the Christchurch Tramway District Amendment Act 1932-33 as the same appears on the respective valuation rolls now in force in the City of Christchurch, the Boroughs of New Brighton, Sumner, and Riccarton, arid the Counties of Waimairi, Paparua, Heathcote, and Halswell, for the period commencing on the Ist day of April 1936 and ending on the 31st day of March 1937. (b) That the Christchurch Tramway Board hereby directs that the said i rate be levied and collected by the Christchurch City Council, the! New Brighton, Sumner, and Riccarton Borough Councils, and the I Waimairi, Paparua, Heathcote, and Halswell County Councils respectively within their respective districts and that the said rate be payable in one sum on the days respectively appointed by the said local' authorities for the payment of rates for their respective districts.
