NEW BRIGHTON GIRL GUIDES

MONTHLY MEETING OF COMMITTEE The president (Mrs C. E. Evans) presided at the monthly meeting of thecommittee of the Ninth Christchurch New Brighton Company Girl Guides. The report of Captain L. Branch said that the company was making good progress with badge work, and the attendance was well maintained. The secretary reported that Miss M. Gott had consented to take the office of a captain to a ranger company should the committee decide to form one in the borough. It was decided to call a meeting of guides who had left the company during the last three years, with the object of forming a ranger company. It was decided to make a grant of 10s 6d to the headquarters general fund. An invitation from the Rev. F. Gardner Brown to hold the next church parade at the Methodist Church on Sunday, July 12, in conjunction with the boy scout troop, was accepted.
