Lord Somers, president of the Marylebone Cricket Club, has informed the Associated Press that the suggestion that he and other Marylebone Cricket Club committeemen should visit Australia for the test matches was unanimously welcomed, but it was impossible to decide who should go, as most of the committeemen were unable to spare the time. Any such visit would
be informal and purely friendly, with the idea of becoming personally acquainted with the controllers of Australian cricket. It might be possible for someone to manage a three months’ trip which would enable him to see ? some of the tests.
