Travel books are still popular, reports the librarian of the Canterbury Public Library, and during the last week the Australian volume entitled “Cobbers,” by Thomas Wood, has attracted attention- Another book in demand is “Wassmuss,’ the German Lawrence, written by Christopher Sykes. Among prominent biograijoies is “Haig, by Duff Cooper. Several novels of adventure have been in keen demand, particularly “Hurricane,” by Nordhoff and Hall; “Night Action,” by Sydney Parkman; “German Spy,” by Bernard Newman, and “The Mystery at Milford Haven,” by “Taffrail.” Popular humorous stories are “Young Men in Spats,” by P. G. Wodehouse, and “Fly Away Paul,” by Victor Canning.
