MAGISTRATE’S COURT Messrs F. E. Sutton and W. C. Cleary, justices of the peace, presided at a sitting of the civil court yesterday. In a claim B. H. Gilmour v. R. Paulsen, judgment was givep for the plaintiff by default for the amount claimed, £l4 13s, together with costs £2 los. Golf A women’s match, over nine holes, for first, second, and third year players will be held at Diamond Harbour on Saturday afternoon for a trophy presented by Miss M. Sutton. A men’s medal match will also be played. On Sunday a Ladies’ Golf Union medal match and a men s stroke match will be held. . The Lyttelton Golf Club will hold the annual match for the Bradley Shilling at Charteris Bay on Sunday. A sealed-hole match for women, for a trophy presented by Mrs H. E. Ayers, and a medal match will also be played.
