MR CECIL GOSTELOW POSITION OF GOVERNMENT ACTUARY i>K»Ba associatio*— coi'Tihght.) (Received June 11, 1 a.m.) SYDNEY, June 10. Mr Cecil Gostelow, Government actuary, Registrar of Friendly Societies, and Superintendent of the National Provident Fund in New Zealand, has been appointed Government actuary in New South Wales.

The Acting-Premier, Mr M. F. Bruxner, in making this announcement tonight, said that although there were not many applicants, Mr Gostelow was the only candidate with the necessary qualifications.

Mr Gostelow was born in New South Wales in 1891, and has been employed by various insurance firms as actuary. In 1921 he was appointed actuary to the National' Provident Fund and this year was appointed superintendent of the fund. In 1925-26 he was secretary and assistant commissioner of the Government Insurance Department, and has been Government actuary since 1926.
