FRENCH DEFENCE SERVICES
MINISTERIAL CONTROL PARIS, June 9. The Government has announced a significant reorganisation of the French defence services. Under the new provisions considerable control will be removed from the military chiefs and vested in members of the Cabinet. The Ministry for National Defence will be entrusted with the co-ordination of land, sea, and air defence, and the Supreme War Council will be placed under the direction of the Minister.
