GREETINGS ACROSS THE WORLD
RETURNED SOLDIERS SEND MESSAGE • RADIO-TELEPHONE TO LONDON (PHESS ASSOCIATION TELEGHAM.) MARTON, June 6. Greetings from the New Zealand Returned Soldiers’ Association and the Marton branch were conveyed by radio-telephone this morning by Captain Eric Pryce, speaking from the Marton Post Office, to the 23rd Division (Officers) Association’s sixteen'.h annual dinner at the Cafe Royal, Regent street, London. The message from the New Zealand Returned Soldiers’ Association stated: “The New Zealand Returned Soldiers’ Association, representing ex-service-men of his gracious Majesty’s forces, sends sincere fraternal greetings to Lieutenant-General Sir James Babbington and his colleagues attending the annual dinner, and would ask him kindly to convey to the British Empire Service League and British League hearty felicitations.” The dinner had been in progress for an hour when contact was made, and Captain Pryce spoke to several former comrades, who expressed deep appreciation of the Dominion’s remembrance. Reception was excellent.
