VISIT TO RANNERDALE HOME
A very enjoyable time was spent when members of the Christchurch Commercial Travellers’ Association paid their annual visit to the Rannerdale Home. Card games, billiards and snooker were played, and during the evening musical items were given by Messrs J. Tennent, K. A. More, and C. I. Hindle (solos), Mr A. E. Romeril (recitation), and Mr H. C. Wells (cornet solo). Mrs Wells was the accompanist. At the conclusion of the entertainment Mr R. E. Voller (president) presented to Matron Chamberlain gifts for the staff and inmates, which were greatly appreciated. Mr C. Preston responded on behalf of the matron and inmates.
