CHRISTCHURCH CLUB The annual meeting of the Christchurch Bowling Club was held In the club pavilion last evening. Mr H. J. Aingor presided. The directors’ annual report and statemont of accounts showed tlic club to be in a sound position. The various competitions had been very keenly contested The president mentioned that special attention was being given to the preparation of the green for the next season, and members could look forward to having a perfect playing surface. • A motion of condolence was passed with the relatives of Mr H. C. Lane, a former member of the club. After the meeting the retiring president presented the trophies won during the year. . . . _ The following officers were elected: President. Mr H. C. Ridley; vice-presidents, Messrs W. Sherris and C. A. Newman: secretary. Mr A. R. Sherris: treasurer, Mr C. J. Atkinson; directors. Messrs S.C. Dixon, I Woolf, S. F. Barnett, and H. J. Alnger; auditor, Mr T. Newburgh; delegate to centre. Mr S. P. Barnett; selectors, Drs. J. D. Marks and W. S. Seed: match committee, Messrs J. Pilling. G. Dickinson. H. Stewart, and C. Maddren; house committee, Messrs I. Woolf. H. P. Anderson, and H. Stewart; tea room committee, Miss Betson and Mr S. C. Dixon.
