NEW APPOINTMENTS
MB W. C. BARRY REGISTRAR OF two Boards
The New Zealand Gazette contains notice of the appointment of Mr W. C. Berry, Director of the Live Stock Divifioc. Department of Agriculture, as registrar of the Stock Remedies Board to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Dr. C. J. Reakes, late Direc-tor-General of Agriculture. Mr Barry ha* also been appointed to take Dr. B«*kes’s position as registrar of the Veterinary Surgeons' Board. Mr Barry has been in the service of the Department of Agriculture for n**rly 21 years as a veterinary surWon. He has spent terms in both North and South Islands, being stationed at Christchurch and Auckland. About 10 years ago he was appointed district superintendent of the Wellington district, and for the last two and a half years he has held the office of Director of the Live Stock Division. The position of registrar of the Stock Remedies Board, to which Mr Barry has just been appointed, was created with the passing of the Stock Remedies Act about a year ago. Dr. Reakes having held the office from its inception until now. Mr Barry was previously a member of the Veterinary Surgeons’ Board, which was treated in 1926.
