ADMINISTRATION OF SAMOA

DECLARATION OF LABOUR'S POLICY SOUGHT

fFrom Our Parliamentary Reporter.]

WELLINGTON, May 5,

A declaration of the Government's policy in the administration of Western Samoa was sought by Mr W. P. Endean (Nat., Parnell), in giving notice of a question to the Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. M. JSavage) in the House of Representatives to-day. Mr Endean referred to the recent, demonstration by the Mau at Apia, and asked whether the Government would make an early announcement of its appointment of an administrator, and also of its policy affecting the mandated territory. In addition, Mr Endean asked if the Government's policy would provide for the enforcing of such discipline that British authority in Samoa would not be flouted.
