TEMUKA PLUNKET SOCIETY

MONTHLY MEETING The monthly meeting of the Temuka branch of the Plunket Society was held on Monday. Miss G. A. Brown presided. The secretary (Mrs A. S. McInnes) reported that Miss Fitzgibbon, rursing adviser to the New Zealand society, had visited Temuka during the month and had said that the total visits to the office in Temuka were the highest in New Zealand for a onenurse branch. Nurse Brown's report for the month of April was received as follows: — Visits to Temuka office 176, Pleasant Point office 89, visits to Temuka homes 62, country homes 177. There were 11 new cases during the month, and a total of 270 cases on the books. There were 28 consultations by telephone.

A mild form of chickenpox was prevalent among older children.
