DEHORNING OF CATTLE

The introduction of legislation to mafce the dehorning of cattle and the budding of calves compulsory was the subject of representations made last week tp the Minister for Agriculture (the Hon. W. Lee Martin) by Mr William Harris, a former president of the Canterbury Master Butchers' Association. He received a sympathetic hearing and a promise of favourable consideration.
