SPREYDON NOVICE CLUB
The Spreydon Novice Cycle Club's 20miles championship road race was held on Saturday under wintry conditiops. AMeadows, the winner, rode a very confident race to win nicely by about four lengths. R. Williams punctured when assured of fastest time, and the scratch rider, C. Coman, met with a mishap on the last round, but finished the race gamely. This final result'was:—A. Meadows (2 min>, 60min 51sec, 1; S. Hammill (smin), 63min 54sec, 2; C. Woods (3min), 62min 4sec, 3; D. Campbell (4min), 63min 54 l-ssec, 4; C. Allen (lmin), 61min 33sec, 5; C. Coman (scr), 64min 58sec, 6. A Meadows also secured fastest time.
