CLYDESDALE SALE

FILLY AT 101 GUINEAS

The clearing sale of livestock conducted by Dalgety and Company at Brookside on account of S. R. Boag drew a very large atendance of breeders and farmers generally, buyers for the Clydesdale stud of 16 horses attending from various parts of the province and other parts of the Dominion. Sheep, working draughts, implements, etc., sold under keen competition at full current values. The Boag strain of Clydesdales is well known throughout New Zealand, as it was one of the first established in Canterbury and has produced many show ring champions. Top price was 101 guineas, for a yearling filly, the purchaser being a North Canterbury breeder. Another high price was 98 guineas, the other prices ranging down to 50 guineas. - - _
