It was recommended that the name of Choral Hall be changed to Latimer Hall, which was approved. It was reported that another change on the staff had been necessary owing to illness. Miss Kiddey's resignation was also accepted with deep regret, and good wishes for her future work in the association, possibly in the North Island, when well enough to resume work, were offered to her. On account of Mrs M. McLeod's departure for a visit to Europe, it was decided to elect another vice-presi-dent. The nominations were received, having been proposed and seconded, with the result that Mrs Abernethy was elected a vice-president. The general secretary reported that a very successful Dominion conference of delegates and staff members of the association had met at Waikanae over Easter week-end, when matters of programme and policv for the future development were discussed, and groups formed for religious study. It was further reported that the junior women had decided to meet at Latimer Club once a fortnight, on Wednesday afternoons, and the Mothers' Club on alternate Tuesday afternoons. The senior members of the Latimer Club were meeting on Wednesday evenings, and had formed themselves into groups for handcraft, debates, and vollev ball. A committee consisting of 1935 members' council, and of outside representatives of business firms, had met during April to assist in the planning and the reorganisation of club activities. The girls' department committee was able to report success in the decentralised work which was being carried out in New Brighton and Sydenham.

The hostel report showed an average number of 42, mostly as permanent boarders.

Lyttelton reported great success in th" "opp penny trail," which grew to £6 3s 7d in less than one month. The senior members were working for a small sale of work to be held in June.
