TOUR OF YOUNG IRISH AUTHOR
+ MR J. EDWIN ORR TO ARRIVE ON TUESDAY Much interest will be taken in the addresses to be given in Christchurch next week by the young Irish author, Mr J. Edwin Orr, y who will arrive here on Tuesday from Nelson on his way round the world on a lecturing tour. Mr Orr is only 24 years of age, and his four books on travel have attracted widespread attention. The object of his tour is to stimulate prayer for spiritual revival through Christian churches. In his tours he has so far covered Great Britain, the Continent (including a trip to Moscow), the Near East as far as Palestine, and Canada. The committee in Christchurch set up to arrange lectures is composed of a number of leading ministers of different denominations. The first lectures will be given at the Oxford Terrace Baptist Church on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, after which the programme will be as follows:—Thursday afternoon, St. Paul's Presbyterian Church; Thursday night, Durham Street Methodist Church; Friday night, Salvation Army Citadel; Sunday morning, Knox Church. A united lecture will be given at the Civic Theatre after church on Sunday night.
