THE QUEEN MARY'S SPEED TRIALS
LINER TO BE INSURED FOR £4,800,000 i (BRITISH OFFICIAL WIRELESS.) (Received April 16, 5.5 p.m.) ; RUGBY, April 15. Late to-morrow afternoon the liner Queen Mary will leave Southampton for her speed trials. It is believed in Southampton that she will have no difficulty in gaining the blue riband on her first crossing of the Atlantic.
Negotiations have started in the London market for insurance to cover the Queen Mary, The amount to be covered for the hull and machinery is £4,800,000.
