DEATH FROM POISONING
INQUEST AT WELLINGTON (PEBSS ASSOCIATIOW TBLBORA.M.) WELLINGTON, April 15. At the inquest to-day into the> death of Stanley Mervyn Massey Constable Stewart gave evidence that Massey wen Tup to him on the Trentham racecourse on March 16 and asked where he could find a doctor. Witness directed him to Dr. burnberg's residence. Later he saw Massey Side the main gates °f the racecourse standing in a perplexed attitude. He was at first reticent but afterwards told the witness that he had taken a fatal dose of poison and that he was tired of life. Massey was taken to a doctor and was later removed to hospital. Evidence was given that Massey had attempted to commit suicide several times. The verdict was that death was due to the effects of poison, self-adminis-tercd.
