OYSTER FARMERS' RESENTMENT
ALLEGED DUMPING FROM NEW ZEALAND (Received April 16, 12.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, April 15. At a conference of oyster farmers at Sydney one speaker urged that the Federal Government should be asked to afford protection against "the dumping of New Zealand oysters in states other than New South Wales." He contended that those markets rightly belonged to the New South Wales oyster farmers. The Chief Secretary (Mr F. A. Chaffey), who controls the State fisheries, was present, but made no comment.
