KAIKOURA SCHOOL DUX AWARD
TO IHB EDITOR OV THE PHEBS. Sir,— Referring to the comment on my letter printed on March 28, there is no elected member of the Kaikoura School Commtttee named Clark. If any member of the committee gave a Mr Clark permission to make the statement that "Mr Anstiss was invited to attend a committee meeting so that the matter could be discussed, but he declined"—l ask him to be sport enough to say so.—Yours, etc. , E. J. ANSTISS. March 31. 1936.
[Commenting on this letter, Mr R. Clark, honorary secretary of the Kaikoura Town School Committee, says: "I wish to state that I have been honorary secretary to the Kaikoura School Committee for four years, a fact known to your correspondent. My statement regarding Mr Anstiss's being invited to attend a committee meeting to discuss the matter is quite true."]
