PLJEASANT. - IN PURSUANCE and exercise Of the powers vested in it in that behalf by ‘‘The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926,” and “The Local Government Loans Board Act. 1928,” and Amendments thereto, it is hereby publicly notified that the Heathcote County Council desires to obtain the consent of the ratepayers in the Mt. Pleasant Riding to raise a special loan of £3IOO under the above acts, for the purpose of carrying out the following works:— 1. Tar sealing, two coats— Chns. Pleasant Loan, 1936, of £3100.” The said loan shall he for a term of Seventeen and one-half years (17J). The proposed security for such proposed amortised loan is a half-yearly instalment of £ll9 4s for 17 i years, being interest at £3 10s per centum per annum (34 per cent.), and repayment of principal, for which it is proposed to make and levy a special annually recurring rate of Seven-six-teenths of a penny (7-16ths d.) in the £ on the rateable value (being the Capital Value) of all the rateable property in the Mt. HEATHCOTE COUNTY COUNCIL. NOTICE OP POLL ON LOAN PROPOSAL. TITT. PLEASANT RIDING.-Pursuant to Section 11 of “The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926,'* and Amendments thereto, public notice is hereby given that a POLL of the Ratepayers in the Mt. Pleasant Riding in the County of Heathcote, and all persons entitled to vote on any proposal of the said Mt. Pleasant Riding to raise a loan in reference to the said Riding, wiU be taken on WEDNESDAY, the 29th day of April, 1936, upon the proposal of the Heathcote County Council (as published in “The Press” newspaper on the 30th March, 1936, and 14th April, 1936, and the “Star-Sun” newspaper on the 7th and 20th April', 1936) to raise a special loan of £3IOO for the purpose of carrying out certain works m the above Riding. The, said poll will commence at 9 am. and close at 6 pm. on the same day in the under-mentioned polling places— Minson’s Store, Sumner road, Mt.
