w VISIT OF AUCKLAND BAND The silver band of the Salvation Army Auckland Congress Hall will arrive in Christchurch from the north this morning to take part in a festival of music in the Salvation Army Citadel. The band, which was formed more than 50 years ago, will march through the streets on arrival in the city. Special musical meetings to-morrow will be conducted by Major H. C. Gcfiln (territorial secretary for bands) and a programme will be given m the evening on the Edmonds’ rotunda at 8-15. The band will leave on Monday f morning for Ashburton.
