* SATURDAY (Before Mr E. C. Levvey, S.M.) Doris Armstrong, a domestic, aged 28 (Mr E. A. Young), pleaded guilty to a charge of being an idle and disorderly person. Chief-Detective Dunlop said that accused’s husband was in jprison and she had been living with a Chinese. She had an eight-months-old baby, and her other children were in the care of the State. . Mr Young said that for some reason the Prisons Board had stopped the maintenance payments out of her husband’s prison earnings. She had no means, and had to work for toe Chinese to keep herself and her child.
