TO no* EDITOR or THE TRESS. ■ Sir, —In my opinion the high price of ewes is easily accounted for, and no one need be alarmed except the mortgagee. la many cases the stock firms ere finding the money and really op the riwep. The farmer is sure of his living allowance, and should prices next season prove unfavourable, the stock firm, under the existing fantastic wiffifltinn, can refuse to pay interest; in fact they will graze the sheep free of charge on land practically owned by Others and take the revenue. It is this legislation, so much advocated by the Sheep Owners’ Union, that was tins main factor in * Government in and is going to k eepitthere.-Yours.eg., FARMER March 14, 1936.
