Turvey, 0-3, 5-7, 6-1, 4-8, 6-2 ■ln the women’s singles final, Miss N. Wynne defeated Mrs Hopman, 6-3, 6*2 Bromwich hit unerringly. His sideline shots and volleys were perfectly executed, and he moved about the court at an amazing pace, and completely outplayed Turnbull
