RATES FIRM ON RECENT VALUES

MANY* STATION SHEEP

The larger drafts of station sheep were sold first and the sale opened quietly with a drop of from 2s 6d to 3s a head on North Can- I terbury fairs. As the sale progressed there was a I better tone in the market and prices eventually were on a par with the northern fairs. .■.'■/ i A total clearance was effected at satisfactory prices to vendors.
