NEW ZEALAND PRODUCE AT HOME
ADVERTISING THE DOMINION
"New Zealand goods are advertised a fair amount in London and the English counties, but there is room for improvement," said Mr H. Chapman, of Cashmere Hills, who returned to Christchurch from a world tour yesterday. Mr Chapman said New Zealand produce did some good advertising in England. This was true especially of butter and tinned tongues. "When we enquired at the stores for the best butter," he said, "we were told that New Zealand was the best, and the same was said of New Zealand tongues. The shopkeepers told us this without knowing that we were from New Zealand." Mr Chapman said that of all the people he met in England most spoke favourably of New Zealand butter. One or two were heard to comment unfavourably, but it was suggested that the butter complained of had been mixed with some of inferior grade. v It was very pleasing to hear New Zealanders well spoken of in all parts of the United Kingdom, and che name New Zealand seemed to be an open sesame to all'kinds of functions and places.
