_♦ OFFICIAL COUNT COMPLETED The completion of the official count in the mayoral by-election has disclosed a reduction of 80 in the majority announced on Wednesday for the new Mayor, Mr J. W. Beanland. The first count gave Mr Beanland a lead of 911 votes on Mr J. K. Archer, the labour candidate. The official count gives the majority as 831.
