North Canterbury batted first, and were aU out to wlwSr and three-quarters for 41. F. Devlin being top-scorer with 16. J. McEwinVwith his slow breaks, completely baffled ifte North Canterbury batsmen.ami secured six wickets for 15 runs, and N Stokestook four for 10. Suburban fared little better than their oppbnents, and were aU out for 52. Bowling for North Serbury7P Roberts bowled 16 overs , for 19 runs and took four wickets. HosSn took for 10, and Kirk three for "in their second innings North Canterbury showed greatly improved form, and had made 109 for sjx wickets, Millar batting well for 55. .
