ITALY’S DISCLAIMER REJECTED
SWEDEN RECALLS FORMER RAID (Received March 6, 7.39 p.m.) STOCKHOLM, March 5. The Government, replying to the Italian disclaimer, refuses to admit that the bombing of the Swedish Red Cross on December 30 was accidental. Corroborative information shows that many bombs fell in the middle of the camp, killing and wounding members. The weather was clear and there was no other tent within miles. _ Pamphlets by General Graziani were dropped stating that the raid was a reprisal. t Sweden demands the cessation of raids, also an indemnity. “TOWARDS BARBARIC CHAOS” LONDON DOCTORS’ PROTEST (Received March 6, 7.5 p.m.) LONDON, March 5. Doctors are sending a memorandum to the Italian Ambassador (Signor Grandi), declaring that if the Red Cross is to be destroyed mankind will recede farther towards barbaric, chaos.
