FUNERAL
MR J. R. EVANS The funeral of Mr J. R. Evans took place yesterday afternoon at the Papanui Cemetery. There was a very big attendance. The service at the graveside was taken by the Rev, F. N. Taylor. Members of the Canterbury Rowing Club and the Christchurch Football Club acted as pall-bearers, Ampngst those present were Messrs Denys Hoare, L. C. Matson, E. V. Phillips, E. ,H. Johnstone, A. I. Couldwell (representing the Christchurch Football Club), Dr. W. .S. Seed, and Mr J. K Moloney (Canterbury Rugby Union), F. I. Cowlishaw, J. Grierson, F. W- Dunnage. R. J. Hobbs, H. Hobbs, C. F. Turner, C. Clemens, and J. B. Taylor (Canterbury Rowing Club); F. D. Kesteven (Canterbury Rowing Association), A. K. Hadfield. R. S. Badger, and H. W. Hunter (Christchurch Lana and Estate, Association).
