INTOXICATED MEN ON TRAMS

TO THE EDITOR-Of TBS PRESS. Sir, —May I draw your readers’ attention to a disgusting incident which occurred on an outbound tram on Monday evening. A man, obviously intoxicated, boarded the car at Cashel street. During the rest of the journey my sister and several other women were subject to a string of filthy and obscene remarks. Surely the Tramway Board could do something about this type of nuisance. I may state that although the motorman was quite close he took no action, other than to tell the man to be quiet.—Yours, etc., NEMO. March 5, 1936.
