DEATH IN HOSPITAL
MAN’S COLLAPSE UNDER ANAESTHETIC John McMeekan, aged 58 years, of 10 Collins street, Addington, died under an anaesthetic at the Christchurch Public Hospital on Friday night. He had been admitted earlier in the day suffering from peritonitis.. An inquest, opened on Saturday morning before Mr E. C. Levvey, S.M., was adjourned sine die after evidence of identification had been taken.
