ESTIMATES DEBATED IN PARLIAMENT
SHIPPING SUBSIDY BILL ADJOURNED (Received March 1, 7.5 p.m.) LONDON, February 28, After sitting continuously for nearly 22 hours the House of Commons rose soon after noon. The main business before the House was the discussion of the various supplementary estimates, the Opposition refusing to allow their passage without full debate. When the House ultimately rose it was agreed that the committee stage of the bill for continuance of the shipping subsidy, and certain other Government business, should stand adjourned until Monday.
