TRANSPORT INCENSING ACT WELLINGTON, February. 29. The Hon. R. Semple, as Minister for Transport, said that there appeared m; some quarters the belief that the Transport Licensing Act and its regulations had been suspended. That was not the. case. The whole problem was under review, and, pending final decisions. It had been arranged that the Transport Co-ordination Board would not proceed further than the hearing of appeals. and that, as far as possible, district licensing authorities should not deal with new or renewed applications. The provisions of the act, however, were fully operative, a™* present license of an operator defined the extent of his present rights.
