OBJECTION TO FASCIST MEETING
STUDENTS EXCLUDED FROM OXFORD HALL (Received February 21, 7.30 p.m.) LONDON, February 20. The Oxford Council refused the use of the Town Hall for a meeting of University Fascists, at which Sir Oswald Mosley was to have been the speaker. The university representative on the council said- he had no objection to people playing about with silly little armies and salutes; but he did not want a repetition of the scenes at the last Fascist meeting in the halL He did not want to see the careers of young and excitable students ruined by mixing up in free fights.
