PORT WHANGAREI WITH FRUIT

The motor-ship Port Whangarel is due at Lyttelton on Monday from Auckland direct with a large consignment of oranges from Jamaica, transhipped from the Blue Star liner Empire Star. The Port Whangarei also brings general cargo from Auckland, and is to sail on Monady for Dunedin and Timaru.

The mine-sweeper Wakakura arrived at Lyttelton yesterday afternoon from Akaroa. The vessel Is to dock at Lyttelton on Monday for cleaning and painting. On Saturday next the first party of Royal Naval Volunteer Reservists will embark for one week’s sea training, and four more parties will later undergo training.
