SPREYDON PUBLIC LIBRARY

The January-February meeting of the Spreydon Library Committee was held recently,* when Mr B. Fehsenfeld presided. At the commencement of the meeting the following resolution was passed: “That the committee express its deep sorrow at the death of King George V., and respectfully places on record its sincerest sympathy with Queen Mary and all members of the Royal Family in their bereavement.” The librarian reported that books issued in January and February totalled 3718. Six new subscribers had been enrolled, making 187 on the roll; 83 new books had been purchased, making the circulation 4104. .The buyers were authorised to purchase books to the value of £ls, with a recommendation that more non-flc-tiori works be procured. Invitations to attend annual meetings at the St. Martins and Addington libraries Were accepted.
