M. LAVAL'S CABINET THREATENED

♦ IMPENDING RESIGNATIONS OF RADICAL SOCIALISTS (Received January 20, 10.50 p.m.) LONDON, January 20. The Paris correspondent of "The Times" says that M. Laval's Ministry as it is composed at present was doomed when a crowded meeting of the Radical-Socialist executive passed a resolution demanding the re-establishment of party discipline and condemning the Government's foreign policy. This was tantamount to the summoning of six Radical Ministers, besides M. Herriot, to resign from the Cabinet. M. Herriot, however, warned the party against precipitating a crisis. Accordingly, it is expected that the resignations will be postponed until M. Laval returns from Geneva in the middle of the week.
