A FAST TRAVELLER
REPRESENTATIVE OF FAMOUS FIRM IN NEW ZEALAND
A fortnight spent in New Zealand makes a record stay in any country other than England, .where he lives, for Mr S. Gestetner, who came to Christchurch yestejrday. Mr Gestetner, who represents. D, Gestetner, Ltd., the famous "London manufacturers of duplicating machines, is visiting the Chrislfihurch agents.,ot his firm, Armstrong and Springhalt Although there are agents in every part of the world to which Mr Gestetner"pays regular visits, he has not before stayed so long in another country. '•But New, Zealand is so impres.. sive," he said. "It by far outstrips my
anticipations, though I have heard splendid things of it." The scenery has captured his fancy above all, he confessed. His interest in-it accounts for his 'long" stay. Mr Gestetner is the son of the Inventor of the modern process of stencil duplicating. He is accompanied by Mrs Gestetner. They flew from Java to Australia in Quantas aeroplanes, of which Mr Gestetner has a high opinion. Even though he places a high value upon time saved, he could not be induced to use the airways service in New Zealand. That would not have allowed him to see the country, to which he was attracted while travelling in the North Island. It is his intention to fly tor England from Australia. His stay in this country will end at the end of the week..
