AIR DISASTER INQUEST
♦ POSTPONEMENT FOR FURTHER EVIDENCE (Received January 19, 7.10 p.m.) ALEXANDRIA, January 17. The inquest on the victims of the City of Khartoum disaster was adjourned until the arrival of Captain Travers, who is at present piloting an aeroplane in India, and whose evidence is regarded as essential. SALVAGED MAIL ON WAY TO NEW ZEALAND SYDNEY, January IS. i Two thousand of the 5000 air mail letters and packets salvaged from the wrecked air-liner City of Khartoum were enclosed in special envelopes and wrappers and readdressed at the Sydney Generai_ Post Office. About 1500 of the letters were delivered in Sydney and the rest were dispatched to various parts of the State and to New Zealand. The Monowai is carrying a portion of the New* Zealand mail.
