School Renovations Renovations at the Rangiora District School have been finished and, with facings and roofs of alternate open-air * .classrooms painted’orange arid green, the appearance of the buildings has been greatly improved. SHEFFIELD The largest consignment of pigs from the Sheffield district, arranged by the Pig Marketing Association, was railed to the North Canterbury Sheepfarmers’ Co-operative works recently. The consignment of 63 pigs consisted of high-class pdrkers and baconers of the large white and large white crossbreeds. Methodist Church The quarterly meeting of the Methodist Circuit was held in the Waddington Methodist Church. The Rev. W. L. Lohg presided over a good attendance of members. It was resolved that the harvest festival services be held on or as near as possible to the third Sunday in March, and a committee comprising Messrs J. D. Anderson, J, H. JebSori, Adams, and Long, was elected to make arrangements. The election of officials for the ensuing year resulted in the present members being re-elected. Mr J. H. Holland's orchestra played the music, and Mr F. Martyn was master of ceremonies. Extras were played bv Miss J. Forgeson and Miss I. Carroll. The Monte Carlo waltz was won by Miss L. Crawford and Mr G. Fahey. The prizes for the euchre tournaments were won by Mrs L. Walls, with Mesdames Smith and Mortiand (equal) second, and by L. Morgan, with T. Griffiths second.
