THE LABOUR PARTY

TO THB JDITOB Of TBS P8833. Sir,— May I suggest that when one of your highly educated correspondents writes a letter for publication containing a foreign quotation, he should at the same time translate this into English. For instance, in an extremely interesting letter this morning on the subject of "The. Labour party," the following occurs:—"La propriety privee est un vol." Well, now, even in this age' of almost universal education it is hardly likely that a great proportion of your readers are Latin scholars, and I venture to say that the vast majority, including, it must be admitted, myself, simply do not know what this means.—■ Yours, etc., IGNORANT. December & 1935.
