Much use was also being made of the correspondence columns of the newspapers in bringing before the public .many cases of ill-treatment of animals,. as well as fot spreading knowledge on such subjects as monkey | gland treatment, vivisection, dehorn- | ing . of' cattle,. and modern killing ' methods. lie report showed that the year had been* a satisfactory one, and there had been a small increase in membership.
