KANGIORA The yarding of sheep and cattle was a small one at the Rangiora sale yesterday. Pigs were In better supply. Prices all round were up to those of previous sales, and. the attendance of farmers was good. Fat shorn wether hoggets sold from 22s to 23s 3d. fat woolly ewes from 23s to 265, fat woolly wethers up to 31s, shorn ewes to 15s, shorn ewes and lambs (all counted) up to lis &d, woolly ewes and lambs up to 12s 7d, four-tooth wethers up to 17s 6d. ■ Dairy cows sold from £3 10s to £4 15s, store cows up to £3, bulls to £2 ss, yearling heifers up to 355. Large porker pigs brought up to 44s 6d, good porkers to 38s 6d, medium to 33s 6d, light to 30s Gd, latge stores to 24s 6d, medium to 20s 6d< good weaners to 17s 6d, medium from lis 6d to 14s 6d and lighter to 10s 6d.

TJNWALD There was a very small entry of sheep at the Tinwald stock market yesterday, and prices fell by about Is to Is 6d a head, when compared with the prices ruling at Ashburton last week. The top price for the market was 265, which was received by T. Mccormick (Lowcliffe), for one shorn fat ewe. There were only a few pens in the wool. A client disposed of three shorn wethers at 25s 7d. The best sales of spring lambs were two at 24s 4d on account of a client and five at 23s 4d on behalf of A. Chalmers (Lismore). A client received 27s for one fat ewe in the wool. • Shorn ewes brought from 15s lOd to 19s lOd for light-weights, up to 22s Id, for middle-weights, and. to 26s for best sorts. Fat wethers realised from 21s Id to 25s 7d for heavy , sorts. Fat cows sold from £4 to £6 15s, fat heifers from £4 12s 6d to £lO, empty cows, from 12s 6d to £5 12s, and utesrs from £2 3s to £4 2s 6d.

There v/as a very satisfactory market for fat sheep at Lorneville to-day, and although prices'fluctuated, there was an improvement of 2s 6d a head. The fat cattle market was good. There was a large entry of fat sheep as it was a double market, and the yarding could be classed as of very good quality taken all over. Prices realised were very satisfactory, as in places they showed an increase of 2s 6d a head for all classes. Prime heavy woolly wethers realised up to 31s, prime heavy shorn wethers from 27s to 295, prime quality 25s to 265, good quality from 24s to 24s 9d, lighter weights down to 225; prime heavy woolly ewes 26s to 28s, good quality 233 6d to 24s 6d, medium 21s 6d to 22s od, light and unfinished down to 16s; extra prime heavy, shorn ewes up to 255, prime 21s 6d to 235, aged 18s 6d to 20s, unfinished down-to 16s 6d. The sale for fat lambs was bright. Prices were as follows:—Prime quality heavyweight 26s 6d to 28s 6d, good quality 23s 6d to 24s 6d, medium 21s 6d to 22s 6d, and lighter down to 19s. There was an extra full yarding of fat cattle, a large percentage of which comprised light and ■: Unfinished sorts. Prime quality bullocks realised £ll to £l2, good medium-weights £lO to £lO 15s, lighter £8 15s to £9 10s, and inferior down fej £7; prime heavy-weight cows £7 5s to tar 7s 6d, good quality £6 5s to £6 17s 6d, medium weights £5 5s to £5 15s, unfinished £4 to £4 10s, aged and inferior down to £2; good handy-weight heifers up to £7 10s, lighter weights £6 Ss to £6 15s, unfinished down to £5.

PROPERTY SALES ' H. C& Smith, of the City Market, reports Mie sale of a house at 39 Middleton road, with 2} acres, to Mr Moore. The sale was in conjunction with L. J. Lohrey. Messrs W. E. Simes and Company report having sold by public auction yesterday for ctfsh two building sites in Palmer's road, containing 1 rood 19 perches, each ,on account of Mr Walter Rowe, of Kumara. West Coast, to Mr Walter Pollard.
