ENGLISH QUADRUPLETS COST £ls A DAY
ELABORATE MEDICAL ARRANGEMENTS
(Received December 2, 11.27 p.m.) LONDON, December 2. The Miles quadruplets born at St. Neots last Thursday,.are costing £ls a day. Dr. Harrison has installed them in their own house in a incubator" electrically heated to 70 deg.
Four gauze-masked nurses are/ constantly in attendance. The babies are fed every two hours with sterilised human milk brought twice daily by motor-car from a hospital in London, 200 miles away. Supplies will be obtained by air if the motors are delayed. Oxygen apparatus and brandy are in readiness for emergencies. Dr. Harrison says the babies are progressing satisfactorily, but it is going to be a critical week.
