GIRLS' CLUB • The Girls* Club of the Home Service Association is filling a great need in the city, for not only are girls, who are strangers to the city, welcomed into an atmosphere of friendliness, out with other club members they are taught many useful, crafts that give them an avenue for self-expression. Each year the club's activities «re concluded with a social held in St. Luke's schoolroom, and this function held last night proved very successful.

A display of handwork, and the numerous articles on the sales tables, showed the variety of work that the girls have done, and several girls also contributed to the musical programme. Mrs W. F, Kent-Johnston, president of the Home Service Association, welcome the visitors, and explained the good work that the club was doing in bringing together girls who had the same interests, and arranging instruction for them in things that would be of practical use to them. This year, great interest had been taken in the St. John ambulance classes, and the result of the examinations had been very gratifying; she Said.
